blogging.
it's a hard thing to keep up with these days, but I do love a "busy day".
I think about blogging all the time. in my head of course.
I'm always updating on my facebook page about what I think is "newsworthy tidbits" but then I forget that not everyone is on facebook. Yes Lucy, I am talking to you... and others of course.
Facebook seems so much easier at times to quickly update new trinkets, what I had for dinner (no not really), and more. But I do love to blog and just put it all out there what's rolling around in my head. And it's usually alot.
So with that.
I hate resolutions so this isn't one. But I'm going to attempt to keep my blog updated as i do love to write and carry one with rambling about what's in my head.
So ramblings right now?
Hearts.
Love them.
Love creating with them.
I think I have been creating with hearts ever since I first started creating jewelry.. and that my friends is over 15 years. I still see it as a hobby at times even though it's my "day gig" now. I love to create and my head is full of ideas I want to put in motion.
But the heart has been a part of my designs from the beginning. It's such a cool symbol whether it's a Hallmark Holiday or a sentiment of telling someone how much you care for them. So they keep popping up in my work. All year long.
So I finally updated a bit on my website (that I keep meaning to update that design but where oh where does the time go everyday to acomplish that as well). I would rather be creating jewelry and hire a web designer to update it for me. It's on my "list" to do.
But for now.
My website is updated a bit with some fun gifts of love
My favorite new one is this funky puffy metal heart
Add an original zipper chain assemblage and it's super fun to wear with a tee and jeans.
Each are unique.
Then this design I was excited about when I stumbled across 40 vintage french books from the early 1900's
The first page has this PARIS emblem in each of them. I could of "copied them" to create more, but I always love using vintage every possible chance I get.
And vintage glass glitter.
To me it's like diamonds... it's not just a Christmas sparkley to me.
So these little hand soldered heart bezels just needed a bit of vintage sparkle to finish them up... I do love these...and taking a great picture of them all shiny is difficult.
So here are a few more trinkets to peek at and enjoy.
Loved finding a stack of vintage numbered ledgers and this pendant was perfect for that ephemera and a sweet image and of course, a little vintage sparkle...rhinestones in each. They can be either a keychain or chunky pendant...you choose
So, I do heart you and all those around me that create a world of fun, positive energy and funky fun artsy worlds... it makes life so incredible.
enjoy
Lisa
